Bringing the freshest seafood favorites to Chicago's River North, GT Fish & Oyster is definitely worth checking out. The oyster bar-inspired restaurant is owned by none other than the team behind Girl & the Goat and Landmark. The chefs incorporate seafood into traditional dishes in refreshing and unique ways on both the hot and cold menus. Shrimp Bruschetta, fresh Ceviche and Lobster Roll are highlights on the cold menu; while Braised Octopus with tomato polenta and Black Gnocci with lobster and vegetables give a decidedly Mediterranean feel to the hot menu. This feeling comes forth from head chef Giuseppe Tentori, whose initials clearly influenced the restaurant's name. Customers are sure to be feeling good at the bar, as well, which serves up signature drinks such as The Waitlist (Grey Goose, St. Germain, Grapefruit juice, lime and Peychauds Bitters) and Old Money (Black Maple Hill Bourbon, Aperol, Walnut Liquer, Angostura Bitters and Allspice Dram).
