The iconic New York City bakery, Magnolia Bakery, is heating up Chicago with the opening of its newest location on north State Street. The Chicago store is the bakery’s first move into the Midwest and eighth location worldwide. Magnolia Bakery offers famous freshly baked desserts that are baked the old-fashioned way with everything being made from scratch on-site, all day, every day, using only the finest ingredients.
The bakery welcomes guests to the store with the overwhelming smells of freshly-made desserts that consist of mouth-watering cakes, pies, creamy banana pudding, cookies, brownies, mini cheesecakes and fresh-from-the-oven breakfast muffins. Magnolia Bakery also serves up classic American baked goods such as double crust pies, strawberry icebox cake, red velvet cake and s’mores cupcakes.
To coordinate with the different seasons and holidays, the bakery showcases a cupcake of the month and always has plenty of specials up their sleeve. For the month of November they are featuring a line up of blueberry crumb cake, pumpkin pecan cupcakes and muffins, pumpkin pecan cheesecake, pumpkin spice whoopie pie, along with homemade pies that include pecan, pumpkin, double crust apple pie and chocolate pudding pie. The cupcake of the month for November is the snickerdoodle cupcake, which is made up of a light, heavenly cinnamon cake iced with meringue and finished off with a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar.
