As the newest neighborhood bar and eatery serving up seasonal eats and craft beer, Northdown Café and Taproomrecently opened in the Lakeview neighborhood in Chicago. Serving American Midwestern cuisine in a casual environment and café-style establishment, Northdownoffers dishes cooked with ingredients grown in the Midwest. Vegan versions of some entrees also give options to customers. Decorated with barn wood and a large 1960s civil defense billboard, the bar serves plates of pork-fat fries and constantly changing versions of beer.Adam Lucks and his sister Valeri, along with their partner Tom Lee (from the Map Room), operate on the mission to “provide great beer paired with great food made from scratch.”
