Perennial Virant
1800 N. Lincoln - 312.981.7070
The Boka Resturant Group are creators of some of the city’s most talked about restaurants (Girl and the Goat, Boka, GT Fish & Oyster, Landmark) and now they have expanded their talents to showcase their latest restaurant: Perennial Virant.
This eatery is known for the culinary skills of Chef Paul, who has a reputation for using fresh, seasonal ingredients in contemporary American cuisine. Much thought was put into the menu, which features mixed drinks and elegant entrées. Perennial Virant is neighbors with the Green City Market and embraces the markets idea of bringing farming to the dinning experience. The farm names where the meat and produce came from are presented directly on the menu so that each guest knows where their food is coming from.
Perennial Virant is open for brunch and dinner and has two separate menus depending on which time of day you decide to embark on your dinning experience. The early bird catches the worm, so if you’re a morning person, Perennial Virant’s brunch dishes will satisfy your tastes buds. The brunch menu showcases original skillets and omelets, as well as unique dishes like the signature, which consists of farm sirloin chicken fried steak, creamy grits, and mushroom country gravy, and the new school, which includes pan-fried, smoked sockeye salmon cake, wax beans, cucumber, and lemon aioli. Drinks are not left out on the brunch menu, bloody marys with seasonal pickled vegetables and rhubarb-honey mimosa’s are highlights on the drink menu to help accompany each entrée for brunch.
For a more sophisticated dinning experience, join Perennial Virant for dinner. The dinner menu gives guests a taste of elegance and includes different signature dishes like the smoked dietzler farm short ribs that come with crispy spaetzle, mustard butter and pickled onions, and the seared diver scallops with roasted nichol’s broccoli, almonds and honey thyme vinaigrette.
The Boka crew has created another restaurant that serves up delicious food that will keep customers coming back for more.
