Here's some good news -- New Year's Eve falls on a Saturday night this year.
Of course, that could be bad news for some people. Because that means you better have great plans. You can't use the "I have to go to work the day after tomorrow" excuse this year. Watching the Times Square apple drop from your couch just isn't going to cut it this time.

Chicago Scene event at the Drake (140 E. Walton)
When you think of the Drake Hotel, a couple of things probably come to mind -- old money, the Cape Cod Room and afternoon tea.
But on New Year's Eve, the Drake is known for one thing -- having perhaps the biggest party for singles in the city.
